Thank you for your interest in sharing your talents with the Dade City Symphony! We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% volunteer organization dedicated to bringing beautiful music to our community. If you are looking for a fun, talented group, and great performance opportunities, we would love to hear your audition.
The Audition Process

Video Submission
Please submit a video recording that includes:
- The required orchestral excerpts (found below, performed on-camera).
- A solo piece of your choice that showcases your current playing ability.
⚠️ Important Note: Video submissions must show the musician performing on camera. Audio-only recordings paired with a static photo will not be considered.

Evaluation & Next Steps
Our section leaders and audition committee will review your video. From there, candidates may be invited to
an in-person audition or a “play-in” audition during one of our regular rehearsals.
About the Symphony
- Our Home Base: Rehearsals are held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Dade City.
- Schedule: We typically rehearse every two weeks on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (August through April). Weekly back-to-back rehearsals may be added as concert dates approach.
- Concerts: We perform three free-admission concerts a year (Fall, Christmas, and Spring) at the 500-seat Pasco Middle School auditorium.
